Monday – Rumoi

It's my 85th week working as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT), and today happens to be Ella's Sports Meet (ondoukai), which she's been eagerly anticipating. She has been excitedly urging me to attend and support her. Unfortunately, my schedule at Rumoi High School includes classes during the first two periods, which means that I would miss her games.

Speaking of which, here’s my workload for today:

6th period – Breakfast of the World @ 1-1 of Matsuda-sensei

After classes, we had the Rumoi English Club. For today’s activity, we did the online preposition game.

After work, my daughter and I drove to Golden Beach Rumoi to enjoy the remaining sunlight. It was nice to finally be able to go out without layering up. We wanted to see the sunset, so we spent our time playing badminton and playing catch. We left Golden Beach Rumoi at around 8 PM. We didn't stay up late, though, as I still have work tomorrow, so after dinner, we called it a night.

It’s a cloudy morning here in Rumoi City. There was news that it would rain, but thankfully it did not happen. For today’s work, I will be visiting Rumoi High School.

We have the Rumoi English Chat Club after work, but because my wife isn’t around and Ella would be alone at home, I decided to skip this week’s club activity.

Wednesday – Teshio

It’s another cloudy morning here in Rumoi. According to the weather forecast, there is a 40 percent chance of rain today.

For today’s work, I’m heading to Teshio High School. It’s my 6th visit for the School Year 2023 – 2024. For this trip, I’m using my 2-day Skip Moekko Free Ticket.

Since I still had time to wait for the next bus back to Rumoi High School after work, I decided to explore Teshio a bit. First, I passed by the Teshio History Museum before finally stopping by the Teshio Roadside Station to try their famed Teshio shijimi ramen.

Finally, the sun is out! For this beautiful Thursday morning, I’m heading to Embetsu Agricultural High School. It’s my 8th visit for the school year 2023 – 2024. For this trip, I’m using my 1-day Moekko Free Ticket.

It’s partially cloudy today, but according to the weather forecast, the sun will come out once in a while. That’s why I didn’t miss the opportunity to hang the laundry outside to dry. For today’s trip, I’m heading to Tomamae Commercial High School. It’s my 6th visit for the School Year 2023 – 2024. For this trip, I’m using my 2-day Skip Moekko Free Ticket.

Overall, I went to my visit schools in Rumoi, Teshio, Embetsu, and Tomamae this week and I’m happy to share that each visit was successful as I was able to help my JTEs have productive classes.

Located in Barangay Sta. Mercedes (Patungan) in Maragondon , Cavite, Patungan Beach is one of the province's little-known beach destinations. It is situated inside Patungang Cove which is south of Mt. Palay Palay which is also known as Pico de Loro . Located in Kawit in the province of Cavite, Aguinaldo Shrine is the ancestral home of General Emilio Aguinaldo, the first president of the Philippines.
