Located in Bacoor, in the province of Cavite, Bacoor Church is one of the oldest Spanish colonial era churches in the province. Like most Spanish colonial-era churches built in the 18th century, this church started out as a humble place of worship constructed using only light materials such as nipa leaves, bamboos, and straws. The church was renovated to that of its present architectural structure from 1863 to 1870 using adobe,  tegula , and believe it or not duck egg whites to bond the adobe boulders together. Every Holy Week, my family and I go out of town on a pilgrimage tour to visit churches as part of our Catholic culture. This is also known as Visita Iglesia . For our 2017 Visita Iglesia , we headed south to the provinces of Batangas and Quezon .
