Our first stop was the charming town of Tsukigata (月形町). In Tsukigata, we had the pleasure of visiting two remarkable places. The first was the Tsukigata Maruyama Viewing Platform located on top of Tsukigata Maruyama ParkIt offers breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscapes. Standing atop the platform, we were captivated by the sweeping views that stretched as far as the eye could see. The beauty of nature truly left us in awe.

Our next destination in Tsukigata was the intriguing Tsukigata Prison Museum which is located right next to the Tsukigata Town Hall. Stepping into the museum was like stepping back in time. We delved into the history of the prison, seeing the displays and learning about the stories of those times. It was a humbling experience that offered a glimpse into a different era.

From Tsukigata, we continued our journey to Ishikari City (石狩市). The city welcomed us with its own array of attractions and hidden gems. Our first stop was the Ishikari Sand Dunes Wind Museum Here, we learned about the beach of the city and how garbage has affected it. On the second floor, some displays showed salmon fishing during the Jomon period. We also tried the canning activity where we made a time capsule and canned it.

Early dinner for us before driving back home

With our minds enriched by the museums and our hearts full of new memories, we made our way to the last stop on our itinerary - Costco Ishikari. The familiar aisles greeted us, and we couldn't resist the allure of grocery shopping and indulging in our favorite treats. We stocked up on essentials and relished the flavors of the famous ¼ pound hotdog and combo pizza. It was a delightful end to our day.

As we embarked on our journey back home to Rumoi City, we made several stops along the way. These breaks provided much-needed respite, allowing us to stretch our legs and attend to necessary matters. We reveled in the serenity of the surroundings, basking in the beauty of the landscapes that unfolded before us. The open road felt liberating, and we appreciated every moment of freedom it granted us.

At approximately 6:30 PM, our tires rolled onto familiar territory as we arrived back home. Despite it being our first weekend without my wife, I am grateful that my daughter, Ella, and I had the chance to forge a stronger bond and create cherished memories together. Our adventure reminded us of the joys of togetherness and the importance of seizing opportunities for connection.

As the day draws to a close, I find myself filled with a sense of contentment and fulfillment. The Daddy & Ella Road Trip 2 proved to be another memorable chapter in our lives. I look forward to the next adventure that awaits us, eager to explore new horizons and deepen the precious bond I share with my daughter.
