Weekend 87: July 1 – 2, 2023
Day 607: July 1, 2023
Saturday – Asahikawa

| Breakfast for today - chicken salad |
Just like last week, today was a day filled with errands and appointments. Ella and I started the day early to ensure we would make it in time for her doctor's appointment at Nakane Dermatology Clinic in Asahikawa City (旭川市). Despite the cloudy and drizzling weather, we managed to wake up with enthusiasm.
 |
| Off to Asahikawa City |
Before setting off, we prepared a healthy breakfast of salad, enjoying a nutritious start to the day. The rain accompanied us as we ventured through various places along the way. The cold weather made us appreciate the warmth of our car as we drove towards Nakane Dermatology Clinic.

| First stop: Nakane Dermatology Clinic |
Upon arrival at around 10:30 AM, we noticed that there were fewer patients compared to our last visit, which was a pleasant surprise. This meant that Ella's turn came earlier, allowing us to save time.
 |
| Next stop: AEON Mall Asahikawa Ekimae |
 |
| Ella and I had fun checking out the things to see around Asahikawa JR Station |

After Ella's appointment, we made our way to the parking area of AEON Mall Asahikawa Ekimae, conveniently located beside Asahikawa JR Station. From there, we took a stroll to Heiwa Shopping Street.
 |
| Next stop: Barber Plage |
 |
| After my haircut, we walked around Asahikawa Heiwa Shopping Street for a bit, but it looked like it was about to rain, so we decided to head back home instead. |
I needed a haircut, so we headed straight to Barber Plage, my trusted place for a fresh trim. It always feels rejuvenating to get a haircut and refresh my appearance.
 |
| Back to Asahikawa JR Station |
Once I was satisfied with my new look, we made our way back to AEON Mall Asahikawa Ekimae. With some time to spare, we indulged in a bit of window shopping, browsing through the various stores and soaking in the lively atmosphere of the mall. It was a relaxing interlude before we returned home.
By around 2 PM, we arrived back in Rumoi City (留萌市). Since it was still early, we decided to visit the Rumoi City Library to make the most of our time. Immersed in the world of books, we passed the hours until the library closed, expanding our knowledge and enjoying moments of tranquility.
Later in the evening, we tackled some pending chores, determined to check off the tasks on our to-do list. With a sense of accomplishment, we rewarded ourselves by indulging in the first season of Slam Dunk, a beloved anime series. Laughing and cheering along with the characters, we embraced the joy of shared moments and the comfort of relaxation while watching the anime that I grew up with.Day 608: July 2, 2023
Sunday – Haboro
I woke up very early today because I needed to drive to Haboro High School for my 8:30 AM confidential assignment.

| I got a free lunch after doing my task today |
No, it’s not like some cool James Bond-like task but something related to my field of work. I stayed in the school until the afternoon.
 |
| Hotto Motto Rumoi |
I got back home at around 5 PM. Since it was still early, I took the opportunity to bring my daughter out for a "Father and Daughter" food trip. We went to Hotto Motto to buy dinner. I have been living in Rumoi for several years but to be honest with you, this was the first time that I tried the karaage from Hotto Motto. I could safely say that, I should have tried it a long time ago. The food was affordable and very delicious.

| Itadakemasu! |
That night, we watched some episodes of Slam Dunk and Black Mirror before calling it a day.
Overall, it was a busy weekend, and we were not able to visit any new destinations this week. Regardless, we were able to do a lot of important tasks and, not to mention, earn extra. Aside from that, we also got to have more rest time. With that, I’m looking forward to what next week has to offer.
