We spent our first night at Nishiokoppe Forest Park Campsite, albeit in the car due to heavy rains

On July 15, 2023, my daughter and I spent our first night at Nishiokoppe Forest Park Campsite, marking the beginning of our Father and Daughter Road Trip #5. It also coincided with my 621st day in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. That night, the rain came down heavily, but luckily, we decided not to pitch a tent and instead slept in our car. Despite being located within the village, the campground was surprisingly peaceful. The next morning, thick fog rolled in, creating a magical atmosphere, though I regretted not capturing that moment on camera. All in all, this campsite stands out as one of the best I’ve experienced so far.
