My family and I visited Tsubetsu Wood Craft Museum Kinos for the first time on September 16, 2023, during the first day of our “3-Day Respect of the Aged Road Trip,” which happens to be my 684th day here in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. It was a very good decision to include this place in our itinerary, as we’ve been outdoors most of the day.

We spent probably more than an hour inside, giving Ella some playtime and also allowing Kai to sleep in one quiet area of the play area. This is probably one of the best museum/play areas that we have visited in Hokkaido so far. Had this place been near our home, I’m pretty sure that we’d be here every weekend if we didn’t have any travel plans.
