Takinoue Roadside Station Stamp
Team Nicerio visits Takinoue Roadside Station
My family and I visited Takinoe Roadside Station for the first time on May 28, 2023. It marked my 573rd day in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. As part of our Hokkaido179 travel goal, we made sure to include the roadside station in our itinerary. My daughter and I got the roadside station stamp for our stamp collection and also for the Hokkaido Roadside Station Stamp Rally. The roadside station has a picturesque façade that reminds me of the old Spanish-era churches in the Philippines. It’s a perfect stop if you are driving along National Route 273.
Takinoue Roadside Station Admission Fee
It’s FREE to park, enter, use the toilet, and explore the roadside station. However, it is highly recommended that you bring cash in case you want to buy souvenirs or snacks sold at the roadside station.
Takinoue Roadside Station Operating Hours
Takinoue Roadside Station is open from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.
Keep in mind that Takinoue Roadside Station is closed during the year-end and New Year holidays, from December 30th to January 3rd. For travelers collecting roadside station stamps, it’s important to visit on open days, as the stamp station is located inside the facility. Getting to Takinoue Roadside Station
The most convenient way to reach Takinoue Roadside Station is by private or rental car, as it eliminates concerns about bus schedules. However, if you plan to use public transportation, here’s the route I’m familiar with:
From Asahikawa Station, walk to the Asahikawa Eki Mae bus stop and take the Sapporo/Asahikawa - Mombetsu Terminal bus operated by JR Hokkaido Bus Company. Get off at Asahimachi [Takinouecho], then walk approximately 900 meters along Route 273 to reach Takinoue Roadside Station.
