My family and I visited Okhotsk Garden for the first time last May 28, 2023, during the second part of our Flower Festival Road Trip 2023. It marked my 573rd day in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. Okhotsk Garden was originally not on our itinerary. I happened to see it while looking for a parking spot to visit Monbetsu Itsukushima Park. I was intrigued by the photo of the manmade falls in Google Maps, so we decided to check it out, and it was a very good decision. My family and I enjoyed strolling around the garden, and we were lucky to see that the rhododendrons were in full bloom, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the garden.
