We wanted to see what Golden Beach Rumoi would look like in winter so we went there to check it out. From there, we continued to Cape Ogon before proceeding to Rumoi Roadside Station.

Rumoi Roadside Station can barely be seen due to the blizzard |
My daughter and I planned to rent plastic sleds to play in the snow mounds of Senba Park but were disappointed to learn that they don’t do rentals during the weekends. Regardless, it was a blessing as the “large amount of snow” turned out to be a blizzard.

We stayed at the 2nd Floor of Rumoi Roadside Station |
Instead of heading home, we decided to wait it out. First, we ordered coffee from the coffee vending machine inside the Rumoi Roadside Station.

Last stop for the day: MaxValu Rumoi |
We left a little before 5 PM. Thankfully, the blizzard already weakened allowing us to drive to Maxvalu to buy groceries before heading home and calling it a day.

Sunday – Rumoi City Library

Ruru buried in snow |
Like yesterday, the weather forecast said that Rumoi City would again receive a large amount of snow in the afternoon. As funny as it may sound but we chose to again head out today.

Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre |
That night, before calling it a day, Ella and I watched several episodes of Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre.
Overall, I might have written little about it, but I spent a considerable amount of time shoveling and clearing snow this week. It’s tiring but was necessary and, in a way, is my source of exercise.
However, there are days that I honestly miss the sunshine and the warmth of summer. I also miss going on road trips and visiting new cities, towns, and villages in Hokkaido.
