Since my wife was craving fresh fish, we first drove to the Kishihata Fish Store near Rumoi JR Station. There were lots of different kinds of fish and they were way cheaper and fresher than that in the grocery store so we bought a lot. We then drove to FIRST to buy a bag for my ski and then to the Engan Bus Office at Akemotocho to buy tickets and reserve seats for our upcoming Sapporo trip. We also bought some Moekko Free Tickets for my school visit trips on the first week of February.
With our budget drained, we drove to the Rumoi Shinkin Bank to withdraw funds for this month. With that, we went to DCM and MaxValu to buy some stuff and groceries for the week.
We finished our tasks at around 1 PM. On the other hand, Ella would finish her activities at 3 PM, so we decided to just wait for her at Rumoi Roadside Station. I brought my laptop with me so that I could write articles while I waited for Ella. Thankfully, Rumoi Roadside Station offers Free WiFi.

Movie for the night: Devotion 2022 |
When Ella finished her activities, we went straight home, washed up, skipped dinner, and watched the 2022 American biographical war film Devotion before calling it a day. It was a good film but as a fan of war movies, I felt that the film had more talk and little action. Regardless, the acting was great, particularly that of Jonathan Majors who played Ensign Jesse Brown.
At the end of the day, we were all tired but fulfilled.
Day 447: January 22, 2023
Sunday – Rest Day
It was the perfect weather as we didn't have any plans to head out. Instead, we spent the day resting, updating my blog, and studying Japanese. I also played a lot of Duolingo today, and because of that, I won this week's competition.

Movie on the day: The Pale Blue Eye |
That night, we watched a few episodes of Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre. We watched the 2022 American mystery thriller The Pale Blue Eye to wrap up the day. My wife and I enjoyed it a lot. We particularly loved the twist at the end. It’s highly recommended.
Overall, it was a productive weekend. We also got enough rest to fuel us for the next week. Speaking of fuel, we almost used up all our kerosene since we stayed home the whole Sunday. Well, it was worth it.
