Day 105: February 14, 2022

Monday - Rumoi HS Exam Week Day 1

Rumoi High School 2/14/22

It's Monday once again. It's also Valentine's Day. It's perfect as I'm going to go to one of the schools that I love and that is Rumoi High School. For this week, the students will be taking day 1 of their exam. This means that there won't be regular classes for us.

Time to go home after a long day of work.

Hence, I used most of my free time to study Kanji, and then in the afternoon after the exams, I trained Mugi-chan and then Komai-sensei for their upcoming Eiken interview. 



At home, it's that time of the month again when I need to refill my heater with touyu. Well, that pretty much sums up my day. See you tomorrow!

Day 106: February 15, 2022

Tuesday - Rumoi HS Exam Week Day 2


It's the 2nd day of Rumoi High School's Exam Week. Like yesterday, I also spent the day learning Kanji and training Mugi-chan for her Eiken interview.

The faculty had a meeting that I was not part of so there was a time when I was alone in the faculty room. 

Rumoi English Chat Club - Topic: Valentine's Day

That night, we had our bi-weekly Rumoi English Chat Club. Our topic for the day was about Valentine's Day. When I got home, my wife and I discussed how the "Project Migration" plan was progressing. She said she's already looking at flights to Japan, hotels to stay, and quarantine. 

Day 107: February 16, 2022

Wednesday - Rumoi HS Exam Week Day 3

Hey guys! Today is simply a repeat of Monday and Tuesday here in Rumoi High School.

In a way, I'm learning a lot of Kanji already. At this rate, I can probably take N5 at the end of the school year. In the afternoon, Mugi chan and I had our last Eiken Interview Exam training as I would be out of town going to my visit schools starting tomorrow and her Eiken will be on Friday. 


Day 108: February 17, 2022

Thursday - Teshio

Today is my 5th time visiting Teshio High School. For this trip, I'm using my 2-day consecutive Moekko Free Ticket.

Day 109: February 18, 2022

Friday: Tomamae

Today is my 7th time visiting Tomamae Commercial High School this year. For this trip, I used my 2-day consecutive Moekko Free Ticket.

During my free time, I studied Japanese until the afternoon. I also spent this time chatting with any Tomamae teacher who wanted to practice speaking English. Hasegawa-sensei also gave me a dictionary with his dedication on it.

When I got home, I spent time chatting with my wife, and then to wrap up my work week, I took a lengthy dip in my hot tub before sleeping.

Located in Barangay San Pedro in Sto. Tomas in the province of Batangas, the National Shrine of St. Padre Pio is a pilgrimage site dedicated and inspired by Saint Padre Pio. Kohfukuji - Nara

Located in 48 Noboriojicho, Nara City in Nara Prefecture, Kohfukuji  ( 興福寺 ) is a Buddhist temple that serves as the national headquarters of the Hosso school of Buddhism.  Kohfukuji  ( 興福寺 ) Kohfukuji History Kohfukuji or simply Kofukuji was established in 669 by Kagami no Okimi in the hopes that it would please Buddha, which in turn, would help her husband Fujiwara no Kamatari recover from his illness.  The first temple was built in Yamashina, Yamashiro Province which is in present-day Kyoto. Then in 672, the temple was dismantled and moved to  Fujiwara-kyo as it was the first planned Japanese Capital. However, the temple was dismantled again and moved to its present location in 710. Nara Park Revisited 2019 - Nara

The last time we visited Nara Park  ( 奈良公園 ) was on the 16th day of our 2014-2015 Japan trip . That was also our first time to see this world-famous park with our own eyes. Nara Park  ( 奈良公園 ) For those who are not familiar with Nara Park , it is home to hundreds of free-roaming Sika deer . This 502-hectare  park also includes the grounds of temples and shrines which are popular tourist destinations themselves like Todaiji , Kohfukuji , and Kasuga Shrine (some of which we also visited).  Our photos in Nara Park: Although the deer of Nara Park are mostly friendly, you still have to be extremely careful Check out the road going to Nara Park Nara Par k is located at the foot of Mount Wakakusa .
