| Refilling the kerosene tank |
Unlike our usual bustling winter weekends filled with errands like grocery runs and laundry duties, today was a rare instance of us opting to hunker down at home. The only time I ventured out was to make a quick trip to Serufu Shell to grab some kerosene for our nearly depleted heater tank.

Today unfolded as a much-needed rest day for Team Nicerio, a welcome excuse to indulge in a bit of laziness. From afternoon well into the late hours of the night, we found ourselves immersed in a series of captivating documentaries and films, including classics like "The Night of the Living Dead" and "The Lady of Silence: The Mataviejitas," as well as intriguing titles such as "Beast" and "Totally Killer." To cap off the day, we delved into several episodes of the ever-fascinating "Forensic Files."

Sunday – Rumoi (Sick Day 5)
Today marks the conclusion of the weekend, and it's a particularly snowy day outside. The wintry scene outside matches the chill that's still lingering within me as I continue to battle this stubborn illness. However, there are noticeable improvements, and I'm grateful for that.

The morning was spent cocooned in bed, allowing myself the luxury of much-needed rest. It's amazing how the simple act of slowing down can do wonders for the body and soul.
Later in the afternoon, we received an unexpected call from Mr. Toshi regarding our upcoming travel plans to Osaka in March. His enthusiasm for our trip was infectious, and he excitedly detailed the itinerary, including a visit to a strawberry farm and the promise of experiencing the beauty of Hanami in full bloom. The anticipation of these adventures lifted my spirits, offering a glimmer of excitement amidst the dreary winter day.

Throughout the entirety of the weekend, we found ourselves firmly rooted at home. Despite the external world beckoning with its array of activities, we chose the comfort of our own sanctuary. It allowed us to immerse ourselves in a plethora of movies and documentaries, indulging in moments of both entertainment and enlightenment.
Reflecting on our decision to remain indoors, I couldn't help but perceive it as a gentle nudge from a higher power. Perhaps it's the universe's way of cautioning us against venturing out into the treacherous weather conditions that have enveloped the world outside. In these moments of stillness, I'm reminded of the importance of heeding such signs and embracing the safety and serenity found within the confines of our home. Looking ahead, I hold onto the hope that the coming week will bring with it a full recovery from this lingering ailment.
