It’s a unique and memorable way to explore one of Hokkaido’s most beautiful and remote landscapes.

10. Hike deep into the Shiretoko National Park (知床国立公園). You can also hike Mt. Io (硫黄山) and Mt. Shiretoko (知床岳). However, make sure that you have studied the hiking trails well before going. Aside from that, you should bring a bear bell and bear spray with you as the national park is home to the Ezo Brown Bear.
