*I posted only a handful of photos of the exhibits and I purposely didn't label them so that you would only get a glimpse of what Hinode Classic Park has to offer. Please visit it and enjoy it with your own eyes.
Relax at the Retro Café Reito-ro
The former gymnasium of Hinode
Elementary School has been transformed into a cozy café and museum,
creating a perfect setting to relax while surrounded by classic cars. Café
Reito-ro, the on-site retro café, serves delicious meals and drinks. A
standout item on the menu is their Big Omelette Rice, topped with an original
tomato sauce. For dessert lovers, the hearty cake sets are a satisfying treat.

On May 13, 2023, my family and I visited Hinode Classic Park for the first time during our “Wedding Anniversary” road trip. It also marked my 558th day in Japan as an ALT with the JET Programme. This was the final stop on our journey through Kuriyama. As a car enthusiast, I found this place to be a true paradise. It felt like a hidden gem—while the exterior of the museum appeared to be a run-down building, inside was an incredible collection of stunning cars. We made the rookie mistake of paying 500 yen per person for entry, instead of ordering food at the café, which would have granted us free access to the museum.
Hinode Classic Park Admission Fee
It’s FREE to enter and take photos of the classic cars on display in Hinode Classic Park IF you order food at Café Reito-ro. However, if you don’t, you need to pay a 500 yen per person admission fee.
Hinode Classic Park Operating Hours
Hindode Classic Park is only open from 10 AM to 5 PM on weekends. Hinode Classic Park is closed in winter.
Why visit Hinode Classic Park?
Hinode Classic Park has become a popular stop for car enthusiasts from all over Japan,
attracting visitors who explore the area on scenic drives or leisurely tours.
Whether you’re a local or a traveler, this charming park offers an
off-the-beaten-path experience where you can admire vintage vehicles and enjoy
a relaxing meal in a nostalgic setting.
Getting to Hinode Classic Park
The best way to reach Hinode Classic Park is by rental or private car as it is outside the town center.
I don't have any information about public transportation that has nearby stops nearby. The only option so far is by taxi from Kuriyama.
