From there, we headed to Jabba Laundromat to have our clothes dried. With this kind of weather, it’s harder for us to dry clothes, and it seems like we will be frequent customers of this laundromat this winter. Before going home, we went to 711 to buy some food.
Day 737: November 8, 2023
Wednesday – Haboro
It’s a 4-degree morning. Today, I’m heading to Haboro High School for my 14th school visit for the School Year 2023 – 2024. For this trip, I used my 2-day skip Moekko Free Ticket. Ever since they cut the number of JTEs, it’s usual for me to have a full load during my visits.

In the evening, my wife and I found ourselves engrossed in an online Cooking Fever tournament, prompting us to stay up later than usual. Our objective was clear: achieve consecutive wins to triumph in the competition. Just as victory seemed within our grasp, a confusing prompt disrupted our progress, forcing us to restart from scratch, resulting in a significant loss of both time and resources.
Despite the setback, we managed to secure 5th place, earning a reward of 100 diamonds. However, the triumph came at a cost—I reluctantly retired to bed at the untimely hour of 3 AM. Fortunately, my upcoming bus journey to Embetsu presents an opportunity to catch up on some much-needed sleep.
Day 738: November 9, 2023
Thursday – Embetsu
Despite staying up late the previous night, I managed to rouse myself early in the morning to get ready for my journey to Embetsu. The day's persistent rain, although somewhat inconvenient, provided an unexpected silver lining by enhancing my chances of a peaceful nap on the bus en route to Embetsu Agricultural High School. This marked my 19th visit during the school year 2023-2024. For this trip, I took advantage of my 1-Day Moekko Free Ticket.
Here’s my workload for today:
3rd period – Performance Task Presentation @ 2A of Sasaki-sensei
4th period – Performance Task Presentation @ 2B of Sasaki-sensei

After finishing work, my family and I made a stop at Tsuruha to purchase diapers and other personal necessities. Following our visit there, we crossed the street to A-COOP Lupinas to check out their selection of vegetables. While we were at A-COOP Lupinas, we ran into my wife's friend, Nao, and engaged in a brief conversation with her. Before making our way back home, we swung by Jabba Laundromat to have our laundry dried.
Day 739: November 10, 2023
Friday – Tomamae
It’s a rainy Friday. For today’s school visit, I’m heading to Tomamae Commercial High School. It’s my 18th visit for the school year 2023 – 2024. For this trip, I used my 2-Day Skip Moekko Free Ticket.
Here’s my workload today:
3rd period – Exam Review @ 3rd year of Matsushita-sensei

| Ebata Dental Clinic |
After work, we went to Ebata Dental Clinic for our dental appointment.
This week, we had mostly cold and rainy weather, and the forecast says it might snow soon. I feel both excited and a bit sad about the snow. It means new adventures, but also the end of our road trips.
Work-wise, I visited Rumoi High School, Haboro High School, Embetsu Agricultural High School, and Tomamae Commercial High School. Each visit was valuable for connecting with the students and my JTEs.
