My family and I visited the Otaru Shukutsu Panorama Observation Deck for the first time on October 9, 2023, the final day of our three-day Sports Day Road Trip. This visit also marked my 707th day in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. During our visit, we were fortunate to be greeted with perfect weather, allowing us to fully enjoy and admire the breathtaking beauty of the area from the deck.

Getting to Otaru Shukutsu Panorama Observation Deck

From Otaru Station, head out and go to platform 3 of the Otaru Eki mae (Otarushi) bus stop. Board the 10 Otaru Suizokukan Sen – Otaru Suizokukan bus operated by Chuo Bus.

Get off at the Otaru Suizokukan bus stop. Once there, walk for about 600 meters to the Otaru Shukutsu Panorama Observation Deck.

Located in the municipality of Nasugbu in the province of Batangas, Munting Buhangin Beach Camp is one of the few privately owned resorts in the area that doesn't really require memberships for visitors to enjoy.
