Day 700: October 2, 2023

Class with Matsuda-sensei
It’s a rainy Monday today, and I’m back at Rumoi High School for my usual school visit. The day kicked off with the Opening Ceremony for the Second Semester, so everyone gathered in the gym during the first period. There’s always something grounding about school ceremonies here—formal, heartfelt, and filled with a quiet sense of purpose.
This is my workload for today:
6th period – A Miracle Mirror @ 1-1 of Matsuda-sensei

It was almost dark when I left Rumoi High School
Work-wise, it was a light day for me. I only had one collaboration class, which gave me plenty of breathing room to settle into the week. After classes, I joined the English Club for our regular meeting. It’s always a nice way to end the day—low-key but meaningful.
Day 701: October 3, 2023

Dinner for today - pancit and sashimi
Before calling it a day, I made sure to spend time with my wife and children. We played and talked about a lot of things under the sun, particularly how Ella has been doing in school. I pray that she continues to learn Japanese and make more friends.
Day 703: October 5, 2023

After work, my family and I went out to celebrate Kai’s 3rd month in this world. We drove to Koraikan and tried their famed ramen. I tried the Gyu Gyu Ramen (牛牛ラーメン), my wife had the seafood ramen, while Ella had the famed yukjeang ramen (ユッケジャンラーメン). They were all delicious. It was a good place to go to for celebrations. We’d surely come back here again in the future.
Day 704: October 6, 2023

It’s Friday once again, the last day of my work week. Today, I’m heading to Tomamae Commercial High School. It’s my 14th visit for the School Year 2023 – 2024. For this trip, I used my 2-day Skip Moekko Free Ticket.

After work, my family and I went to Ebata Dental Clinic for our dental appointment. After that, we drove to COOP to buy food for tomorrow’s road trip.
Overall, I visited Rumoi High School, Haboro High School, and Tomamae Commercial School this week. It was a busy week, but very fulfilling.
