Day 698: September 30, 2023

Making an itinerary for our next road trip
As the day drifted into the afternoon, I took the opportunity to craft an itinerary for our forthcoming long weekend getaway, which promises adventure and new experiences. Additionally, I dedicated some time to my passion, updating my blog and producing a series of engaging articles for future publication.

Movie night: M3GAN
With the evening upon us, we settled in after a delicious dinner to watch the 2022 film, "M3GAN," a captivating blend of horror and science fiction. This film left a good impression, reminiscent of Chucky but enriched by a more intricate storyline and a tasteful reduction in gore, making for an unforgettable viewing experience.
Day 699: October 1, 2023
Sunday – Rumoi
Today's weather forecast paints a picture of mostly rain, prompting a change of plans from our initial intention of heading to Mashike for some grape picking. Mother Nature had other ideas, leading us to cancel our outdoor excursion and opt for a cozy day indoors.

Breakfast for today: Tortang talong...

+ last night's ginisang munggo
Our morning was filled with household chores and tending to Kai, ensuring that the day remained productive and filled with warmth. As the clock approached 1 PM, a pleasant surprise unfolded when the rain finally let up. Seizing this break in the weather, I decided to make a trip to Jabba Laundromat to tackle the laundry that had accumulated.

Walking along the riverside walking path of Rumoi River
While waiting for the laundry to finish its cycle, I took advantage of the reprieve from rain to embark on a leisurely stroll along the picturesque banks of the Rumoi River. This impromptu 30-minute walk allowed me to soak in the serene surroundings and rejuvenate my spirits, turning an otherwise gloomy day into a moment of tranquility and reflection.

We had carbonara for dinner

Movie night: Last Voyage of the Demeter
Before calling it a day, we watched the 2023 horror/fantasy film The Last Voyage of the Demeter. It was a good film, but I feel that the progress is slow, and some things confused me, like why the vampire shipped 50 crates of soil and why the locals didn’t kill the vampire en route to the port when he was vulnerable and they knew that he would bring death to his next destination.
