Pokemon Center Sapporo - Hokkaido

Pokémon Center Sapporo (ポケモンセンターサッポロ) is the 25th Pokémon Center spread across Japan and is one of the two in Hokkaido. It is located on the 8th floor, Daimaru Sapporo Store, 4-7 Kita 5-jo Nishi, Chuo-ku in Sapporo City, Japan.

Pokemon Center Sapporo Details

Located on the 8th floor of Daimaru Sapporo Store, Pokémon Center Sapporo is a haven for Pokémon enthusiasts of all ages. Since its initial opening on March 6, 2009, the store has undergone a couple of relocations—from Sapporo Esta 9F on December 1, 2016, to its current convenient location near Sapporo Station.

The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a delightful statue of Pikachu, Alolan Vulpix, and Sobble, setting the tone for an exciting shopping experience. Despite being smaller compared to other Pokémon Centers in Japan, the store boasts a wide range of merchandise, including plushies, battle cards, apparel, and even the latest Pokémon Sword and Shield items.

Exclusive Merchandise: The Pokémon Center Sapporo exclusive Pikachu plushie is the Pikachu Snow Statue and the Pikachu Clark Statue design. The store caters to every Pokémon fan, offering a variety of items ranging from adorable plushies to rare battle cards. While the Pokémon Center Sapporo exclusive Pikachu wasn’t available during the visit, there was an abundance of Alolan Vulpix and Vulpix plushies, fittingly showcased as they serve as the Pokémon Ambassadors of Hokkaido

On July 28, 2023, as part of our Sibling Road Trip 4, my daughter, siblings, and I had the chance to visit the Pokémon Center Sapporo. This memorable visit marked my 634th day in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme and was our last stop for the day. There were no Sapporo Region Exclusive Pikachu on sale during our visit, but we still got some plushies for our collection.

It’s FREE to enter and explore the Pokémon Center Sapporo store, but of course, if you’re a Pokémon fan, then make sure to bring money so that you can buy some merchandise for your collection.
