Shintoku (新得町) is a scenic mountainous town located inland within the Tokachi Subprefecture of Hokkaido, Japan. Its name is derived from the Ainu word "Shittoku-nai," which translates to "shoulder" or "edge of a mountain." Additionally, the area is believed to have been a site where the Ainu people crafted "shintoko," lacquerware traditionally used for brewing sake.
For those planning to visit this scenic
mountainous town to check what it has to offer, here are the 10 Things to Do in

typical soba noodles.
