If you are inside Sapporo Station, head outside to the Sapporo Station South
Square. It is the front part of Sapporo Station. You might want to take a picture of Sapporo Station’s façade. If you’re a fan of the Netflix Series “First Love” walk towards the
nearby Sapporo Station South Taxi Stop and take a picture or recreate
the “Taxi Waiting Scene” from Episode 1 of the series. |

From the station, walk towards the Hokkaido Government
Red Brick Building
also called Akarenga by many. It is one of the most famous buildings in
Sapporo City. The walking time from the station to the building is 8 minutes. |

Explore the Hokkaido Government Red Brick Building and its
grounds.* Admission Fee: FREE *As of January 2024 the building was still under renovation. |

the observatory you need to pay 1,000 yen for adults / 500 yen for

Walk to Tanukikoji Shopping Street Travel time from Odori Park to Tanukikoji is 10 - 15 minutes.

Walk back to the Susukino Crossing and wait for the billboard
lights to turn on. You may want to take another photo of the Nikka Whiskey Billboard as
the crossing looks better at night with all the lights on.

Walk back to Odori Park. You may want to take another photo of the Sapporo TV Tower when
it’s lit up. If you have a budget to spare, you may want to go up to its observatory
if you didn’t earlier. If you choose this option, add another hour to your
itinerary.

Walk back to Sapporo Station. Option 1: Head back to your accommodation. Option 2: Explore Sapporo Station before going back to your accommodation. Option 3: Head up to JR Tower Observatory T38 and see the beautiful night view of
