Belle Park Chippubetsu Camping Ground - Hokkaido

Belle Park Chippubetsu Camping Ground (ベルパークちっぷべつキャンプ場) is one of the best camping destinations in the region. It is located at 1264 Belle Park Chippubetsu in the town of Chippubetsu in Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan.

A large camping area, Belle Park Chippubetsu Camping Ground, can hold around 70 tents. The campground is also quite convenient because it is just a 5–10-meter walk to the Chippubetsu Roadside Station, convenience store, and public onsen.

Since the campsite is inside Belle Park Chippubetsu, it is well maintained and also has access to the park’s facilities like the park golf course and the sports center. There is also the Kid’s Square Chikkuru and the outdoor playground called Cubic Connection.

The Belle Park Chippubetsu Camping Ground, on the other hand, is maintained by the local government because it is located within a public park. This implies they have rigorous laws in places, such as restricting dogs, pyrotechnics, and bonfires. Trash should also be separated, and a camping fee is charged.

There is a manmade stream that flows in the middle of the park

My family and I camped at Belle Park Chippubetsu Camping Ground on August 6, 2022, which was my 278th day in Japan as an ALT through the JET Programme. Belle Park Chippubetsu Camping Ground is where we had our very first camping experience.

The arrangement of Belle Park Chippubetsu Camping Ground is what I find appealing. The center of the campground is where a man-made creek flows. The sound of the flowing water is soothing. A contemporary, spotless restroom and a children's playground are also nearby.

Overall, it was a perfect first-time camping experience for me and my family.

Campers need to pay 500 yen for one tent and an additional 500 yen if they will put up a tarp.
