Image
My family and I got to visit Solong Eco-Park during our 2019 Bicol Road Trip . Although our last visit was quite recent, we decided to revisit it this time because we want to tour my brother Patrick and sister Aya, both of whom were unavailable last time.  Solong Eco-Park Revisited 2021 Solong Eco-Park Details For those who are unfamiliar with Solong Eco-Park , it is located at Barangay Solong, Camalig in the province of Albay.  Solong Eco-Park - Camalig, Albay Solong Eco-Park opened to the public on April 29, 2017. Located in Barangay Quitinday in the municipality of Jovellar in Albay, Sigpit Falls is a two-tier waterfall that is one of the destinations for the Jovellar Underground River, Caves, Falls, and Rainforest Tour . Sigpit Falls Sigpit Falls details As mentioned Sigpit Falls is a two-tiered waterfall in the municipality of Jovellar. It is also known to locals as Quitinday Falls . It has a height of roughly around 40 -50 feet tall. Checking out Sigpit Falls from a different view Despite the mud-colored water flowing down Sigpit Falls during the wet season, it is for me, the best time to view Sigpit Falls as there is a large volume of water cascading down the falls. It gives the falls a more picturesque look. However, if you plan to swim in the natural pool below

This is due to several factors. According to one of the locals that I interviewed, the surrounding area including where the underground river is located was once infested by communist insurgents. This led to issues of being left behind in terms of infrastructures like lack of wide roads and of course the security concerns. Regardless, I have seen friends visit Jovellar and they had nothing to say but positive things, so we also gave it a go. Jovellar Underground River - Jovellar, Albay From my father's hometown of Camalig, we
