Day 866: March 16, 2024
Saturday – Rumoi
It’s a sunny winter day here in Rumoi City. It’s a beautiful day to go for a drive. However, we didn’t have any road trip plans because Ella and I have scheduled activities for work and school today.

We watched Ella's event in Midorigaoka Elementary School online
Ella needed to go to Midorigaoka Elementary School to give a message to the graduating Grade 6 students during their graduation ceremony. I, on the other hand, needed to attend the online meeting with the authors and editors of our new Kamalayang Panlipunan series under the Abiva Publishing House.

Ella came back home at around noon, while my meeting finished at around 1 PM. Our original plan was to go to COOP to buy groceries, but my wife wasn’t feeling well, so we decided to just stay home and rest. We just watched several videos on YouTube and Facebook. Aside from that, I was able to finish my KitKat Collection Part 1 video, which will be posted on our Facebook page, JapaNice Adventures.

Bonding with Ella and Kai
Since my wife wasn’t feeling well, we didn’t stay up late today. Before sleeping, I gave my wife a back and head massage. Hopefully, she’ll be ok by tomorrow.
Day 867: March 17, 2024
Sunday – Rumoi
It’s a gloomy Sunday. It snowed for a bit, but since it’s quite warm already, the snow instantly turns to water right after it touches the ground. My wife feels a little bit better compared to yesterday, so we were able to do some household chores. We only did some vacuuming and laundry, and were finished before lunch.

Movie time: Damsel
During our free time, we watched the 2024 fantasy/ adventure film Damsel. Ella and I enjoyed the storyline and also the CGI.

Laundry time at Jabba Laundromat
There were tasks that we didn’t do yesterday, so we did them today instead. First, we headed to Jabba Laundromat for our usual winter weekend laundry task.

Ella and Kai loves grocery shopping time
After that, we drove to the Engan Bus Sales Office to buy a ticket for my school trip this coming Thursday. From there, we drove to COOP for groceries. During our drive to COOP, we felt that our car, Ruru, was a bit shaky. Hence, we decided to go home after doing the grocery shopping. My wife also suggested that I bring Ruru to Suzuki in Motokawa-cho next week to have it checked.

Itadakemasu!
We got home at around 6 PM. Since we skipped lunch and Ella requested it, we had yakiniku for dinner. After the hearty meal, we just rested before calling it a day.
Overall, this weekend was mostly rest, chores, and family time. We might not have gone out of town today, but we had plenty of family bonding time. I’m looking forward to what next week has to offer.
