Day 854: March 4, 2024
Monday – Rumoi
It’s a snowy, chilly Monday—the start of my first full work week this March. I’m back at Rumoi High School following my usual Monday routine.

No collaboration work today, as everyone was busy finalizing the exams for tomorrow’s entrance tests. These exams are taken so seriously that they’re stored in vaults or locked away in a secure locker. On top of that, teachers are instructed to leave promptly, and no one is allowed to linger in the faculty room after 4:40 PM.
Before calling it a day, I unwound by watching an episode of The House of Ninjas. The story just keeps getting more interesting with every episode!
Day 855: March 5, 2024
Tuesday - Rumoi x Entrance Exams

It’s another snowy day today. I went to Rumoi High School earlier today because our morning meeting was moved 5 minutes earlier for the special morning meeting about today’s entrance exams. Kyoto-sensei talked about the test implementation and also some reminders for the proctors.

Since there were no collaboration works today, I spent my time reading books and learning Japanese.

| I attended the Rumoi English Chat Club in Asuka. Our topic was the topic “The Pleasures of Spring.” |
After work, Ikuko-san picked me up at home and drove me to Asuka for our Rumoi English Chat Club. Only 4 of us were present, and we talked about the topic “The Pleasures of Spring”.

Wednesday - Rumoi x Interview Test

Finally, it’s another sunny day here in Rumoi City. Today was my last visit to Rumoi High School for the week. Like yesterday, we had a special meeting where Kyoto-sensei discussed the Interview Test and shared reminders and precautions about the new wave of influenza affecting both elementary and junior high schools in the city. Since there was no collaborative work, I spent my time improving my Japanese language skills.

After work, my wife and I went on a quick trip to COOP to pick up groceries, and I was excited to find a new KitKat flavor—KitKat Gold.
Before calling it a day, I watched another episode of The House of Ninjas. The story just keeps getting more thrilling with every episode!

Thursday - Embetsu

I woke up to a frigid, snowy day. After almost 2 weeks of reporting for work at Rumoi High School, I’m finally back doing my out-of-town school visit duties. Today, I’m heading to Embetsu Agricultural High School. It’s my 24th visit for SY 2023 – 2024. For this trip, I used my 2-day Moekko Free Ticket.

Before calling it a night, I watched several episodes of “The House of Ninjas”. A few more episodes and I would be wrapping up Season 1.

Friday - Tomamae

It’s a sunny Friday. I’m heading to Tomamae Commercial High School for my usual Friday school visit. It’s my 27th visit for the school year 2023 – 2024. For this visit, I used my 2-day Moekko Free Ticket.
There were no classes today due to the Proficiency Test. I spent this time updating my files.
Overall, it was a relaxed workweek. This week, I visited Rumoi High School, Embetsu Agricultural High School, and Tomamae Commercial High School.
