Week 15: February 7-11, 2022 Day 98: February 7, 2022 Monday - Rumoi My house is getting buried in more and more snow I'm back at my main school Rumoi High School today. It was another chill day as I was not given any collaboration work today. Regardless, I made sure that the day is productive by learning a new set of different Kanji characters. I also learned from Shikou-sensei that one of my students and English Club members, Mugi - chan , will be taking the Grade 1 Eiken interview (the highest level). I promised sensei that I would help Mugi-chan train for this exam as much as I could. I told him that I am willing to free up my after-work schedule to train Mugi.  Before going home, I helped Komai-sensei practice for his Grade 1 Eiken interview. Day 99: February 8, 2022 Tuesday - Rumoi  Rumoi High School 2/8/2022 It's another day at Rumoi High School . Here's my workload for today: Class 2-1 of Motoyama-sensei 2nd period - Review Vocabs @ 2-1 of Motoyama-sensei That a

The first time that I visited Rumoi Shrine   ( 留萌 神社 )  was last November 14, 2021 , which was my 2nd weekend here in Japan . During that visit, the leaves of the trees were already yellow and were falling one by one in preparation for the upcoming winter.  Rumoi Shrine ( Winter ) Rumoi Shrine  Revisited  ( Winter ) Back then, I promised myself to revisit Rumoi Shrine and the other scenic spots of Rumoi City whenever the seasons change. Since it was autumn during my first visit, then naturally my next visit is in winter.  Rumoi Shrine - Rumoi City, Hokkaido Prefecture Although the first snow fell last November, I waited for some more months before checking out Rumoi City's famous landmarks. In that way, there would definitely be a very noticeable, if not dramatic change in the scenery.  The stairs up Rumoi Shrine are covered with almost 6-feet of snow Rumoi Shrine torii gates in winter One of the mini-shrines of Rumoi Shrine I revisited Rumoi Shrine last February 6, 2022 , wh

Weekend 14: February 5 - 6, 2022 Day 96: February 5, 2022 Saturday - Rest at home Woke up to a very cold morning. It also seems like my adrenaline from yesterday's ski trip already subsided and I'm already feeling the effects of all those tumbles and explosive movements. In short, I'm sore. I spent most of the day blogging As you might recall, I joined the annual ski trip of Tomamae Commercial High School yesterday at Haboro Townspeople Ski Resort . Since it was my first time to ski, my adrenaline and dopamine nullified whatever pain my body felt every time I fall down or overstretch whatever muscle.  Lunch for today: Shin Noodle Soup and burnt porkchop Well, today would probably be the first time in the year (and hopefully the only time) that I took  Alaxan® .  Spent the night chatting with my beautiful wife. I spent the whole day at home resting and doing some easy chores. I also took the time to update my blog and chat with my family. That basically is how my Saturday
