A Playground Full of Adventure
At the heart of Sarabetsu Noson Park stands a symbolic tower
decorated with Don-chan, the beloved mascot of Sarabetsu Village. The
playground itself is designed like a maze, encouraging children to explore and
discover new paths at every turn. With over 30 types of play equipment,
the park offers endless excitement—ranging from five different slides,
including roller and banana slides, to climbing areas and adventure spots.

The park isn’t just for kids—seven types of health and
fitness equipment are available for adults, making it an ideal space to
combine family fun with exercise.

Noson Park. The ground is paved with soft, cushioned rubber chips to protect
infants and children while running or playing. The playground is stroller- and

There are also hexagonal shelters, benches, and drinking

Sarabetsu Noson Park is located just a 3-minute drive
from the Sarabetsu Interchange, making it easy to access by car. The park
offers parking for up to 63 vehicles on the north side of the playground.

Team Nicerio visits Sarabetsu Noson Park
My family and I visited Sarabetsu Noson Park for the
first time on November 4, 2023, which was the second day of our three-day
Culture Day Road Trip. This marked my 733rd day in Japan
as an ALT under the JET Programme. It was our first destination in the village
of Sarabetsu. My daughter and I had a blast bonding in its play area. We tried
the slide in the park, which is said to be one of the longest in the region.

Getting to Sarabetsu Noson Park
From Obihiro Station, head to platform 11 of the Obihiro Station Bus Terminal and board bus #60 Hiroo Line operated by the Tokachi Bus Company. Get off at Sarabetsu Sara Park Mae bus stop.
From there, walk for about 300 meters to the park.
