My family and I visited Nakasatsunai Central Park for
the first time on November 4, 2023, which was the second day of our three-day
Culture Day Road Trip. This marked my 733rd day in Japan
as an ALT under the JET Programme. The park wasn’t originally in our itinerary,
but since it was located near Nakasatsunai Shrine, we got curious and checked
it out. We enjoyed strolling through it as we were the only ones there.
In my opinion,
the park is best visited in the fall when the autumn foliage adds beauty to the
vast park. Sadly, we were several days too late, as most of the leaves were
already on the ground. Given the chance, I’d love to see it next autumn.
