The Backpack Adventures

I have already visited Miharashi Park ( 見晴公園 ) thrice. The first one was during winter, November 28, 2021 (Sunday) , and the second one was in spring a few weeks back, April 30, 2022 (Saturday) . Since the park was just a few kilometers away from my place, I get to easily see how it changes during the different seasons.  Miharashi Park ( Summer ) I went back to visit Miharashi Park again last June 4, 2022 (Saturday) , my 31st weekend here in Hokkaido as an ALT under the JET Programme . This time, it was already the start of summer. For this trip, I went to revisit with my family.  Miharashi Park details SUMMER For those who are unfamiliar with Miharashi Park , it is located at 2 Chome Miharashicho, Rumoi City, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan . It is one of the city's many parks. The D613 locomotive engine is the most popular attraction in the park.   Day 215:  June 4, 2022 Saturday -  Reuke Farm and Golden Beach It's a weekend once again. It's also a sunny warm Saturday morning. What better way to spend it than walking around Rumoi City. To make this day memorable, my family and I decided to go somewhere I haven't been to yet. Hence, we'd be going to  Reuke Farm .  Another early morning stroll in Rumoi City We saw a fox near Miharashi Park Miharashi Park Visited Miharashi Park in the summer On the way to Reuke Farm, we passed by Miharashi Park . We didn't miss the chance to spend time in its playground. Ella seems to have enjoyed her time in the park.  Rumoi Shrine We made a brief visit to Rumoi Shrine ... ... then  Hokokuji We then proceeded on our way, stopping briefly at Rumoi Shrine . Weekend 31: June 4 - 5, 2022 Day 215: June 4, 2022 Saturday - Reuke Farm and Golden Beach It's a weekend once again. What better way to spend it than walking around Rumoi City. To make this day memorable, my family and I decided to go somewhere that I haven't been to yet. Hence, we'd be going to Reuke Farm .  It's another beautiful morning in Rumoi City On the way to Reuke Farm , we made some stops at the following places: Miharashi Park   Rumoi Shrine Hokokuji We bought the 711 coffee at 711 Okimicho for breakfast From there we did one more stop at 711 Okimicho near Golden Beach along Route 231 of the Ororon Line. We bought the famed 711 coffee and were really glad we did so.  Monument of Survey (測量の碑) We enjoyed the view from the beach at Hamanakacho  Heading up to Reuke Farm The higher we went the more beautiful the scenery gets We followed Route 231 south to Mashike but stopped at the beach at Hamanakacho .
