Day 775: December 16, 2023

Saturday – Rumoi

It’s a cold but thankfully not a windy morning. My family and I took the opportunity to get extra sleep after a busy work week, and as a matter of fact, we got up at around 10 PM already.

We needed to go to the grocery store today, so we needed to remove the ice from Ruru.

There was a promo at COOP today. They were selling the dried squids at a very low price

We didn’t have any road trip plans today, but we still needed to head out to do some errands. Our first stop for the day was at COOP to buy groceries. I was happy to discover that there is a promo for the dried squid, which is to buy three packs for just 1000 yen. Of course, I didn’t miss the opportunity to buy some.

Jabba Laundromat

From there, we went back home to drop off our groceries and, in exchange, pick up the laundry to bring to Jabba Laundromat for drying. After that, we drove to Maxvalu to buy dinner and then to 711 Rumoi Minamimachi to purchase oden and pay bills.

We got back home at around 7PM. We then ate dinner, and before calling it a day, we watched a few episodes of Forensic Files on YouTube.

Day 776: December 17, 2023

Sunday – Rumoi

Happy Sunday, everyone!

It’s another cold morning. Like yesterday, we spent extra hours in bed sleeping. We got up at around 9 AM, and after eating breakfast, my wife and I decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood. Our daughter Ella decided not to join us as she wanted to finish her task of folding the clothes.

Our stroll around the neighborhood led us to COOP. Just as we entered, there was a sudden blizzard outside. This prompted us to wait it out in the warmth and safety of the store. We bought some snacks and ate them in the lounge.

After about an hour, the blizzard stopped, and we were able to walk home safely.

Nightime at Rumoi City today

At home, my family and I bonded. My daughter and I finished the last few episodes of Attack on Titan: The Final Season. After that, we also watched some clips on Facebook. I was saddened to learn that Judge Frank Caprio was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I used to watch clips of his show Caught in Providence on YouTube, and he was really a kind and inspiring person.
