My family and I first visited the area where Obira Yuttarikan is located during our “Drive Up North” Road Trip last August 12, 2022. However, during our visit, we did not go inside Obira Yuttarikan but only took photos with the Duckbill dinosaur in Obimaru Square.
Team Nicerio visits Obira Yuttarikan
We finally got to go inside Obira Yuttarikan last November 11, 2022. It was my 391st day here in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. During our visit, we tried its onsen. It is a refreshing and relaxing experience. The water temperature was just right and there weren’t that many people. Although the onsen area is facing the sea, there isn’t any outdoor onsen available. It would have been a perfect experience knowing that this area of Japan is renowned for its beautiful sunsets. Regardless, I still recommend Obira Yuttarikan whenever you are in the town of Obira.
