Day 3 May 19, 2018

A Farewell to our Friends


Today is another sunny day here in Japan, it is predicted that there is a 0% chance of precipitation for the whole day. However, ironically, there is a high percentage of "tear fall" due to the fact that our Filipino friends are flying back home.

Hello again! Kansai International Airport

Thank God I won't be flying back home today.

 I truly feel that they were fun people. Although we only spent two full days together, I would surely miss those late night chats with Marlon and Erika and the witty intellect of their children. Well, life has to move on, so we drove them to Kansai International Airport around 10AM. While on the road, Mr. Toshi's Toyota Estima was showing signs that there was a problem with its battery. Luckily, the car did not stall and we arrived safely and on time at the airport.

... to Super Autobacs in Kishiwada-shi

After the farewells, Mr. Toshi did not risk driving his car back home so he had it towed to Super Autobacs in Kishiwada-shi for repairs. We didn't wait for the repairs to be finished as it would take some time (but the car would be released that afternoon) so we drove back home using the car of Mr. Toshi's daughter.

For a change and to uplift our sad spirits, we stopped by Caito Sweets in Kumatori to buy some cakes. (I don't know about you but eating cake seems to lower my stress levels.)

We got home just in time for us to witness a beautiful sunset. That night, my wife cooked her best (because it is my favorite) dish - ginisang monggo.

Before calling it a night, my wife and I packed up our things in preparation for our five-day tour of Kyoto City. Something that I had wanted to do since we got back from our first trip to Japan a few years back.
