Kawasaki Good Times World History

Opened in 2006, the Kawasaki Good Times World is sponsored by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, a company that has played an important part in the advancement of Kobe since its ports opened to the world in 1868. The museum is attached to the Kobe Maritime Museum but is considered as a different museum from the former although the entrance fee covers both museums.

My family and I got to visit Kawasaki Good Times World during our 21st day in Japan. It was our second destination after the Kobe Maritime Museum. We really had fun with the interactive displays featured in this museum. I particularly enjoyed the motorcycle simulator as it was the closest experience that I'd get in riding a motorbike. On the other hand, my daughter loved the train and ski arcade games.

Kawasaki Good Times World Opening Hours:

Kawasaki Good Times World is open from 10AM to 5PM every day.

Why visit Kawasaki Good Times World?

Overall, the Kawasaki Good Times World is a perfect destination for field trips and also for those who are curious about Kawasaki Heavy Industry's history and products. An hour or two in this museum is enough to experience all its interactive displays and also learn something new about one of the world's best companies

Getting to Kawasaki Good Times World:

Ride the JR train to Motomachi Station. From there, the museum is a 15-minutes walk away.

If you came in via the Shinkansen line, you can ride a taxi to the museum. The trip takes about 15 minutes.
