Japan Diaries 4: Week 35

Week 35: June 27 - July 1, 2022

Day 238: June 27, 2022

Monday - Rumoi

Rumoi High School 6/27/2022

It's a rainy morning here in Rumoi City and according to the weather forecast, it would continue until night. Hence, I won't be biking to Rumoi High School today.

Here's my workload for today:

3rd period - Listening Activity @ 3-46 of Matsuda-sensei
4th period - Curry Travels @ 1-45 of Kowaka-sensei
5th period - Curry Travels @ 1-36 of Kowaka-sensei
6th period - Tokyo's 7-minute Miracle @ 2-345 of Kowaka-sensei

After the 6th period, I walked to Midorigaoka Elementary School for the parent-teacher chat. My wife and I listened to the feedback of Ella's adviser.


Overall, Ella seems to be on the right track with making friends and her studies which made me and my wife very happy. After the chat, I went back to Rumoi High School and trained Mugi for her Eiken exam.

Tuesday - Rumoi

Rumoi High School 6/28/2022

It's a rainy Tuesday morning. I'm back at Rumoi High School. Like yesterday, I'm jam-packed with collaboration work today. Regardless, I'm enjoying it.

Day 240: June 29, 2022

Wednesday - Haboro

Haboro High School 6/29/2022

It's another cold rainy day. Thank God, my wife made me breakfast. The hot coffee helped warm me up for my early morning trip. Today, I'm visiting Haboro High School for the 4th time for the school year 2022 - 2023. I'll be using my 2-day Moekko Free Ticket for this trip.

2nd period - English Songs @ 1st year of Ken-sensei

When I got home, my wife and I went out on a ramen date at Ramen Yamaokaya, a ramen restaurant near our place. The Spicy Miso Ramen there is a must-try.

Day 241: June 30, 2022

Thursday - Embetsu

Embetsu Agricultural High School 6/30/2022

Finally! After several days of continuous rain, the sun finally came out. Today, I'm visiting Embetsu Agricultural High School. It is going to be my 8th visit to this school for the school year 2022-2023. For this trip, I will be using my 2-day Moekko Free Ticket.

5th period - My Memorable Experiences @ 1st year Advance of Sasaki-sensei

I received a LINE message from Matsuda-sensei informing me about the postponement of the baseball game in Asahikawa City tomorrow. The good news is, that it has been moved to Monday. This means I would be able to join the trip to Asahikawa.

Day 242: July 1, 2022

Friday - Tomamae

Tomamae Commercial High School 7/1/2022


Just like that, it's already Friday aside from that it's also the first day of July. Today, I'm heading to Tomamae Commercial High School. It's my 10th visit to this school for the school year 2022-2023. For this trip, I'm using my 1-day Moekko Free Ticket.

Here's my workload today:

2nd period - How Many vs. How Much @ 3rd year of Hasegawa-sensei

Overall, I have a total of 17 collaboration work this week. It's probably one of the busiest since I've been here. This week I visited Rumoi High School, Haboro High School, Embetsu Agricultural High School, and Tomamae Commercial High School. I'm happy that each time I go to the classroom is a chance for me to share and promote Filipino culture and tradition.
