The Backpack Adventures

My family and I have already visited Kyoto Station ( 京都駅 ) numerous times during our trips to Kyoto City. The first time we got to see it was during our 2014 Japan trip , followed by our 2018 Japan trip , then our 2019 Japan trip , and then my 2022 Solo backpacking trip .  Kyoto Station ( 京都駅 ) Of course, we didn’t miss revisiting Kyoto Station   during our latest trip this January 9, 2023 , which was my 433rd day here in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme . It was actually our last destination for the day. My daughter and I went there at night after exploring Eastern Kyoto to see the Kyoto Station Illumination 2023 . Day 434: January 9, 2023 Monday – Coming of Age Day – Kyoto It's a beautiful day here in Kumatori, Osaka Today is the Coming of Age Day ( 成人の日 ) holiday here in Japan . It means many young adults would be in the streets wearing traditional Japanese clothes. It also means that it would be traffic or crowded in some places. Mr. Toshi drove us to Hineno Station Waiting for the train to our first destination today Off to Kyoto for Team Nicerio Transferring trains at Osaka Station We saw the  Meiji Naruhodo Factory Osaka Arrived at Kyoto Station We saw the Kyoto Tower when we left Kyoto Station Mr. Toshi drove my family and me to Hineno Station . From there, we boarded a train heading for Osaka Station before transferring to a train bound for Kyoto Station . Our journey did not end there, as we will still ride Bus #9 to the Horikawa Gojo bus stop.
