Philippine Provinces Without Travel Requirements 2021
Philippine Provinces Without Travel Requirements 2021 |
Update
Due to COVID 19, the Philippine government ceased leisure travel around the Philippines not only for foreigners but also for local tourists. Although some restrictions were eventually lifted, traveling to different provinces still is a challenge due to the numerous paperwork and certificates that one has to present at the borders of different provinces. However, there is good news...
Last February 26, 2021, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), approved the uniform travel protocols for all local government units (LGUs). With this new protocol, travelers are no longer required to undergo COVID-19 testing except if the LGU of the destination will still make testing a requirement prior to travel. Aside from that, travelers will no longer undergo quarantine unless they exhibit symptoms upon arrival at the LGU of destination.
Authorities will continue to strictly implement the minimum public health standards, such as physical distancing, hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and the wearing of face masks and face shields across all settings. Clinical and exposure assessment shall be strictly implemented in all ports of entry and exit while health assessment of passengers, supervised by medical doctors, shall be mandatory upon entry in the port/terminal and exit at point of destination.
Regarding documentary requirements, the travel authority issued by the Joint Task Force COVID Shield and health certificates will no longer be required. Authorized persons outside of residence (APORS) from national government agencies and their attached agencies, on the other hand, must provide their identification card, travel order, and travel itinerary. They must likewise pass symptom screening at the ports of entry and exit.
I scoured documents and checked the Facebook pages of the LGUs to identify which provinces are already open without requirements. Here's the compiled list:
