It's time for another food trip adventure.  Today, we're visiting the town of Cuenca in Batangas to try out one of the best lomi in the province. Join me as we visit and try out the lomi from G2B Lomi House.

G2B Lomi House opened on February 10, 2014. This humble restaurant is located at St. Isidore Street, Poblacion 3 in Cuenca, Batangas.

Before we talk about the restaurant, let's first answer the question "What is a lomi?". For those who are unfamiliar with the dish, a lomi is a Filipino noodle dish made using thick fresh egg noodles with ingredients such as either a chick or pork, chopped shallots, minced garlic, shredded cabbage, egg, and salt.

Since lomi is a well-known dish in Batangas, there have been numerous variations of this dish depending on the place where you'd order it. Speaking of different variations, our food trip today brings us to see what kind of lomi G2B Lomi House has to offer. 

Surprise surprise!

We visited G2B Lomi House during the 2nd day of our Cuenca-Taal Road Trip 2021. During our visit, we ordered the Super Double Lomi worth 270 pesos. This dish was said to be good for 3-4 people but after seeing it with our own eyes, we already knew that it could feed way more people than two adults and a kid due to its generous servings and overflowing toppings.

Speaking of the generous servings and overflowing toppings of the Super Double Lomi, aside from the basic ingredients, G2B Lomi House's Super Double Lomi has the following toppings:

Overall, my wife, daughter, and I enjoyed G2B Lomi House's Super Double Lomi. I highly recommend it to those who are visiting the town of Cuenca in Batangas.

To balance things out, despite the good food offered by G2B Lomi House, I would like to suggest to the management that they should have their toilet renovated and the utensils replaced. In this way, the dining experience of those visiting would be superb.

Overall, G2B Lomi House might not have the luxurious type of establishment but it offers one of the best lomi in the town of Cuenca if not the whole of Batangas You should come and visit this place when you are in Cuenca or passing through town. 

Getting to G2B Lomi House:

 

From Buendia, ride a bus going to Lemery, Batangas.
Bus fare: 150-200 pesos
Travel time: 2 hours + depending on traffic

Tell the conductor to drop you off at Cuenca town proper. Once there, you walk or ride a tricycle going to the G2B Lomi House.

Located in Barangay San Pedro in Sto. Tomas in the province of Batangas, the National Shrine of St. Padre Pio is a pilgrimage site dedicated and inspired by Saint Padre Pio.
