Boracay Revisited 2020: Day 2

Boracay Revisited 2020: Day 2

Day 2: February 2, 2020

Good morning guys!

Early morning in Boracay

Ella's early morning dip

It drizzled last night but upon checking the weather forecast for today, I was relieved to see that there's a very slim chance of rain today. Hence, as planned, we had our early morning jog around Station 1 of Boracay's White Beach. After sweating a bit, we decided to take a dip near the famed Willy's Rock. We enjoyed swimming in the cold clean shallow waters for about an hour and a half.

Time to eat

We then headed back to Diamond Water Edge Resort to freshen up before proceeding to the hotel's beachside restaurant to avail of our complimentary breakfast.

Checking out Station 2

My daughter wanted to swim again after breakfast. My father-in-law accompanied her while my wife and I went back to Station 2 to revisit Boracay's beachside Starbucks branch. I didn't miss buying the Boracay City tumbler (P845) and of course ordering our favorite coffee jelly. My wife and I chilled there discussing our future travel plans.

Rest time!

When we got back about three hours later, my daughter was still enjoying the beach. We stayed in Diamond Water Edge Resort's beachside lounge where we continued our travel planning chat and also watch our daughter. After an hour or two, we went back to our hotel room to rest as it was also scorching hot already.

Looking for a place to eat

Jasper's Tapsilog and Resto

Dinner time at Jasper's Tapsilog and Resto

By 4PM, we headed back to Station 2 to look for a place to eat dinner. We eventually settled at Jasper's where we ordered Bicol Express, bopis, Jasper's Spaghetti, pancit bihon, and Jasper's Fried Rice. From there, we strolled checking out what changes were brought by the rehabilitation in this area of Boracay Island before heading back to the hotel.

Time to go back home

Finally back to Diamond Water Edge Resort

Overall, we spent the day revisiting places that we've visited almost a decade ago. We also checked out what changes were brought to the island by the rehabilitation that happened several months back. Well, that's it for today's diary entry. See you all again in my next article.
