Here's the fourth budget day tour itinerary for Kyoto City. This itinerary is designed to maximize your Kyoto City Bus One-Day Pass and also visit as many destinations in Kyoto's Rakuchu Area as possible. If you missed the other itineraries, you might want to check them out HERE.

Disclaimer:

1. Transportation from your accommodation going to Kyoto Station is not included in this itinerary.
2. The itineraries would always start in Kyoto Station and end in Kyoto Station.
3. The accommodation budget is also not included.
4. The itineraries start at 8:30AM as most destinations open at 9AM. 
5. The exploration time in a place is pegged at an hour per destination. However, you may opt to cut it shorter or stay longer. 
6. It is also assumed that you are traveling light.

Rakuchu Area Bus Tour Course

8:30-8:35AM

 

Arrival at Kyoto Station.

Exit at the Karasuma Side of the station. For those who are unfamiliar with Kyoto Station, this side is the one facing the Kyoto Tower. 

Head to the bus terminal and avail of the Kyoto City Bus One-Day Pass at the automatic ticket dispensing machine.

Walk for three minutes to Shimogyoku Sogo Chosha mae bus stop. 

Ride either bus #6/33/206/208 to Nanajo Omiya Kyoto Suizokukan mae bus stop. 

Travel time from Kyoto Station to Nanajo Omiya Kyoto Suizokukan mae bus stop is 6-10 minutes

From there walk for about 2 minutes to Nishi Honganji.

Walk to Nanajo Horikawa bus stop. From there ride bus #9 to Horikawa Oike bus stop.

Located in Barangay San Pedro in Sto. Tomas in the province of Batangas, the National Shrine of St. Padre Pio is a pilgrimage site dedicated and inspired by Saint Padre Pio. Located in the heart of Kyoto City in Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto Station  ( 京都駅 ) is one of Japan 's largest train station buildings. It serves as the main gateway for locals and foreigners coming in and out of the city. Located in 48 Noboriojicho, Nara City in Nara Prefecture, Kohfukuji  ( 興福寺 ) is a Buddhist temple that serves as the national headquarters of the Hosso school of Buddhism.  Kohfukuji  ( 興福寺 ) Kohfukuji History Kohfukuji or simply Kofukuji was established in 669 by Kagami no Okimi in the hopes that it would please Buddha, which in turn, would help her husband Fujiwara no Kamatari recover from his illness.  The first temple was built in Yamashina, Yamashiro Province which is in present-day Kyoto. Then in 672, the temple was dismantled and moved to  Fujiwara-kyo as it was the first planned Japanese Capital. However, the temple was dismantled again and moved to its present location in 710. Nara Park Revisited 2019 - Nara

The last time we visited Nara Park  ( 奈良公園 ) was on the 16th day of our 2014-2015 Japan trip . That was also our first time to see this world-famous park with our own eyes. Nara Park  ( 奈良公園 ) For those who are not familiar with Nara Park , it is home to hundreds of free-roaming Sika deer .
