Planning to visit Intramuros soon? I have come up with a series of budget day tour itineraries that is aimed to maximize your visit to a specific place in the Philippines without having to break your bank. For today's itinerary, I'm featuring an Intramuros walking course itinerary

Intramuros Budget Day Tour Itinerary

Disclaimer:

1. Transportation from your accommodation going to Intramuros is not included in this itinerary.
2. The accommodation budget is also not included.
3. The itineraries start at 8AM as most destinations open at 9AM.
4.  The exploration time in a place is pegged at an hour per destination. However, you may opt to cut it shorter or stay longer. 
5.  It is also assumed that you are traveling light.

Intramuros Budget Day Tour Itinerary 

Intramuros Walking Tour Course 


8 AM

Arrival at Intramuros.

Enter in any of the main entry points of the Walled City.

8:15 AM

 

Walk to Fort Santiago.

Travel time: 15 -30 minutes depending on where you are.

8:15 – 10:15AM

Explore Fort Santiago and Rizal Museum

You should spend at least 2 hours here to fully appreciate Fort Santiago and Rizal Museum.

Admission Fee: 75 pesos

10:15 AM

Walk to Mananzan Handicrafts

Travel time: 5 minutes

10:20 – 10:30 AM

Short visit to Mananzan Handicrafts.

Admission Fee: FREE but you might want to buy some souvenirs here.

 

10:30 -11:30 AM

 

Early LUNCH at any of the nearby restaurants.

 

11:30AM

 

Walk to Manila Cathedral with a quick viewing of the facades of the Palacio del Gobernador and Bureau of Treasury buildings located near the cathedral

Travel time: 10-20 minutes depending on what you eat.

 

11:40- 12:40 PM

 

Explore Manila Cathedral.

Admission Fee: FREE

Walk to Casa Manila with a quick stop at Memorare – Manila 1945

Travel time: 5 – 10 minutes

12:45 – 1:45PM

Explore to Casa Manila’s museum

Admission Fee: 75 pesos

Once done, cross the street to San Agustin Church

1:45 – 3:45PM

Explore San Agustin Church and the San Agustin Museum

San Agustin Church Admission Fee: FREE

San Agustin Museum Admission Fee: 200 pesos

Walk to Baluarte de San Diego

Travel time: 7 - 10 minutes

3:55 – 4:30PM

Explore Baluarte de San Diego

Admission Fee: 75 pesos adults / 50 students

Walk to Padre Burgos Ave and ride a jeepney back to your accommodation.

Travel time: 2-5 minutes
