As for the hotel experience, one can easily feel the spirit of elegance with the mix of Japanese and modern designs. The 1st-floor lobby and both 1st and 2nd-floor elevator halls feature artworks by Yoshio Okada. He is a well-known painter and ukiyo-e woodblock print artist who has numerous artworks accredited to his name.

The rooms, on the other hand, are designed to make you feel at home. The rooms are very much like a residence-style apartment room. Each has its own living room, kitchen, bedroom, and dining room. These guest rooms are located on the 15th, 16th, 19th, 24th, and 26th floors. Since these rooms are situated on the higher floors, each room has amazing panoramic and nighttime views of Izumisano City, Osaka Bay, and Rinku Town areas.

My family and I got to stay in Oriental Suites Airport Osaka Rinku during the last day of our Japan 2019 trip. which happens to be our last night in Japan as well. We were checked in Room 2405. Our room has a fantastic view of Osaka Bay and Kansai International Airport. Although our stay in the hotel was brief, it was enough to give us a good impression of it that given another chance we'd probably book another room in it. However, here's the feedback that I hope the management would work on -  the buffet area on the 2nd floor should be remodeled or redesigned so that the temperature in the area won't be affected by the constant opening and closing of the main door that leads to Rinku Town Station.  The temperature changes are very evident during winter when the chilly weather outside goes in and mixes with the heated buffet area of the hotel which ruins the dining experience of those in the said area particularly those who are seated nearest the entrance.

Overall, I highly recommend Oriental Suites Airport Osaka Rinku for those planning to visit Osaka Prefecture or those planning to fly back home via Kansai International Airport. Like what I have already written, it is conveniently located near the airport and a train station so exploring the prefecture or going home on an early flight would be hassle-free and easy. 

Getting to Oriental Suites Airport Osaka Rinku:


From Kansai International Airport, walk to Kansai Airport Station. From there ride the Nankai-Kuko Line Airport Express Nankai-Namba or the Kansaikuko Line Kanku-Rapid Kyobashi and board down at Rinku Town Station. From there, walk about 130 meters to reach Oriental Suites Airport Osaka Rinku.
Travel time: 7-10 minutes
Fare: 370 yen.

Day 5 May 21, 2018 Kyoto Adventure (Day 2) We woke up to yet another beautiful day here in Japan . The weather is great, perfect for our planned activities for today.  To familiarize ourselves with the place where we will live for another three days, our plan for today is to have a walking tour around Kyoto Station which is quite near our place. I told my wife that she should be prepared to walk the whole day and I'm happy that she agreed. (Well that's one less problem for me). Located in 48 Noboriojicho, Nara City in Nara Prefecture, Kohfukuji  ( 興福寺 ) is a Buddhist temple that serves as the national headquarters of the Hosso school of Buddhism.  Kohfukuji  ( 興福寺 ) Kohfukuji History Kohfukuji or simply Kofukuji was established in 669 by Kagami no Okimi in the hopes that it would please Buddha, which in turn, would help her husband Fujiwara no Kamatari recover from his illness.  The first temple was built in Yamashina, Yamashiro Province which is in present-day Kyoto.
