Day 439: January 14, 2023
Saturday – A Day in Sapporo

Good morning, everyone. It’s the final few days of our Winter Vacation. Today, we plan to explore Sapporo City before heading back home to Rumoi City. However, before that, we had our complimentary breakfast at the Comfort Hotel Sapporo. After our sumptuous meal, we went back to our room and did our final preparations before checking out.

| One of the first things that we did was rent a locker to leave our things in. In this way, we could explore the city more conveniently. |

From the hotel, we went to Susukino Station and bought the Donichika Ticket. We then boarded the subway going to Odori Station. We then transferred to the train going to Oyachi Station. Before leaving the station, Ella and I did not miss getting the eki stamp of the station for our stamp collection.

For our first main destination for today, we went to Super 2nd Street Oyachi to look for ski pants for Ella and also shop for whatever treasure we could find.

After shopping for over 2 hours, we decided to go back to Sapporo Station. Our adventure didn’t end there, though, as we still had plenty of time before the reserved bus trip to Rumoi City. We planned to visit some of the filming locations of the hit 2022 Japanese drama First Love.

With an hour left, we headed back to Sapporo Station. While waiting, we tried the Samurai burger at McDonald’s to see and taste the hype.

We boarded the 6 PM Engan Rapid Express Bus bound for Rumoi City at 6 PM and arrived home at around 8 PM.

We were quite tired from the adventure today, so we decided to rest early and do whatever needed to be done tomorrow.
Day 440: January 15, 2023
Sunday – Rumoi x Last Day of the Winter Break

After lunch, we drove to COOP to buy groceries and pay bills. We didn’t stay long as our luggage would be delivered in the afternoon.

Our luggage arrived at around 6 PM. We spent the whole night unpacking and organizing our stuff before calling it a day.
Overall, my 63rd weekend here in Japan was a blast. Although it was the last weekend of our Winter Vacation, we still managed to squeeze in one more adventure in Sapporo City. We wanted to visit more, but we didn’t have the luxury of time and energy. Regardless, we’ll return to the much-awaited Sapporo Snow Festival in a few weeks.
