Day 756: November 27, 2023
Monday – Rumoi

It’s a snowy Monday. It’s the start of another week. Like always, I’m reporting for work at my main school – Rumoi High School.
Matsuda-sensei is absent today, so I don’t have my usual collaboration work. I spent this time updating my PowerPoint presentations and also studying Japanese. It has been quite a while since I was formally studying the language, and I was disappointed to discover that I had forgotten a lot of information I had learned before.

In the afternoon, we had the English Club. We did the survival game “Deserted Island”. It was surprising how the club members could explain their ideas well.

Day 757: November 28, 2023
Tuesday – Rumoi

It’s a warm winter day here in Rumoi City as temperatures have risen to 2 degrees. That’s why the snow is melting, making the roads and sidewalks mushy. I’m heading to Rumoi High School for my usual Tuesday school visit.

After work, I drove my wife to Ebata Dental Clinic for her dental appointment. After which, I attended the English Conversation Club at Asuka. Our topic for today was “Unique Words”.

Wednesday – Teshio

It’s a frigid Wednesday morning. According to the weather forecast, it would be windy with a high chance of a blizzard today. Regardless, I still need to head out and travel to Teshio High School for my scheduled school visit. This visit is my 12th for the 2023 - 2024 School Year. For this trip, I used my 2-Day Skip Moekko Free Ticket.

That night, after eating dinner, my wife and I stayed up late to compete in the tournament in Cooking Fever. We played until 1AM today, and our late-night tag team proved to be super effective as we secured first place. It’s our second time to win the competition. This gave us 300 diamonds, which we would use to buy new restaurants and improve old ones.
Day 759: November 30, 2023
Thursday – Teshio

It was -5 degrees when I left Rumoi City. For today’s school visit trip, I’m heading to Teshio High School again for the 2nd day of the Interview Tests. It’s my 13th visit for the School Year 2023 – 2024. For this trip, I used my 1-day Moekko Free Ticket.

On my way home, I received a message from my wife that she lost her phone on her way back home after attending Ella’s Sports Festival at Midorigaoka Elementary School. The phone fell from Ella’s jacket pocket. They tried to find it, but ironically, it was already low battery before they lost it, which meant that it only got a few minutes left before it died.
When I got back, we used the “Find my Phone” feature of the phone and found out that the last ping of the phone was near the house. I tried to follow their trail and dig around it, but sadly, I couldn’t locate it either.
Day 760: December 1, 2023
Friday – Tomamae

It’s the first day of December and the last month of the year. I can’t believe how fast the time went. For today’s school visit, I’m heading to Tomamae Commercial High School. It’s my 21st visit for SY 2023 – 2024. For this trip, I used my 2-day Skip Moekko Free Ticket.

After work, I went straight to the Rumoi City Police Station to report the lost phone. When I got back home, I dug around the area in vain. Before calling it a day, my wife and I considered the important things we “lost” with the phone and made a list of things to do tomorrow in connection with it. It turned out that the lost phone affected our online banking and shopping activities in the Philippines.
Overall, this week was productive when it came to work as I got to visit Rumoi High School, Teshio High School, and Tomamae Commercial High School, but I was physically and mentally drained due to the issue of the lost phone.
