It’s sunny in the morning but would be cloudy in the afternoon, with temperatures ranging from 19 to 26 degrees. Humidity is also low, which makes it seem like summer has already passed.

We didn’t go anywhere today, though. We spent the day resting and bonding with each other, particularly with Kai. Aside from that, we watched the 2022 Spanish slasher film Killer Book Club and the 2022 superhero film Black Adam.

Before wrapping up the day, my daughter and I watched several episodes of Parasite: The Maxim.

Day 671: September 3, 2023

Sunday – Rumoi

Unlike yesterday, it’s a sunny day today, and it was pretty hot. We were planning to go to Asahikawa City to buy a car seat for Kai, but we woke up almost at noon, and because of the heat outside, we lost the motivation to leave the house.

Relaxing at home

To make our day productive, we did household chores. I was in charge of cleaning the bathroom area. After doing the chores and eating lunch, we decided to take a nap and then walk in the afternoon.

We left home around 6 PM and walked to the nearby Rumoi River banks to stroll around. We didn’t stay that long outside, though, as it got colder and Kai was still not used to it.

When we got home, we rested for a bit before eating dinner. Before calling it a day, we watched the 2022 sci-fi horror film Prey. I was amazed at the storyline as I am a fan of the Predator films. I’m happy that they also cast actors of Native American descent, as it made the film quite authentic (minus the use of the English language).

To wrap up the week, we didn’t visit any new destinations, but we were able to get a lot of rest. Hopefully, we'll go on a road trip next week as my adventurous feet are already itching for travel.
