I played park golf at Kotanbetsu Riverside Golf Course with my co-teachers and students from Tomamae Commercial High School for the first time last July 7, 2023. It was my 613th day here in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. It was a fun experience as it's not every day that we get to hang out outside after work. The tournament was fun but we became a bit competitive towards the end. Can you guess who won the game? 😋😋😋

Getting to Kotanbetsu Park Golf Course

Kotanbetsu Riverside Park Golf Course is conveniently accessible by car. Although parking spaces are limited, the availability of a free parking lot makes it ideal for early visitors to enjoy the best experience.

If traveling via public transport, the course can only be reached by taking the Rumoi–Horonobe or Rumoi–Haboro Terminal bus operated by the Engan Bus Company.

From Rumoi City, board the Rumoi–Horonobe or Rumoi–Haboro Terminal bus and alight at the Uehira bus stop. Transfer to the Uehira to Kotanbetsu Line, also operated by the Engan Bus Company, and get off at the Tomamae Commercial High School bus stop. The golf course is just a short walk away.
