Processing
The process of getting an IDP is very simple. You’ll need to contact one of the AAP offices (mentioned above) and then fill out the INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMIT APPLICATION FORM.
You can get your International Driving Permit a day after your application. However, if you're in a rush and you need it ASAP, you could apply for your permit at the Main Office in QC and you can wait for it to be released within the day.
Philippine International Driving Permit (PIDP) Application Form
The duration of the process depends on which office you choose to contact. The AAP claims that the office in Quezon City has the fastest processing time (approximately 1 hour). Other branches will take up to five days (Alabang, Makati, Lipa, and Pampanga: 2 to 3 days; Cebu and Davao: 4 to 5 days).
If you’re not in a rush, just go with the nearest branch to where you reside. If you must have the IDP immediately, then the QC branch is recommended.
How long is its validation?
The Philippine International Permit lasts 1 year. But if your local license exceeds the expiration date less than 1 year after you got the Philippine International Driving Permit, the PIDP will expire the same day as your license.
So what are you waiting for? Head to the nearest AAP and apply for a driving permit to fully enjoy your adventure abroad.
WARNING:
My Philippine International Driving Permit photo here is being used by some FB pages that provide "assistance" in applying for the permit. I'm not in any way affiliated with these pages.
Aside from that, keep in mind that you should avail of the International Driving Permit yourself and in case of non-appearance, a letter of authorization, and any valid ID of the representative. So practice precaution. These FB pages might be scammers preying on people's hard-earned money.

Located in the municipality of Nasugbu in the province of Batangas, Munting Buhangin Beach Camp is one of the few privately owned resorts in the area that doesn't really require memberships for visitors to enjoy. Munting Buhangin Beach Camp Munting Buhangin Beach Camp Details Although Munting Buhangin Beach Camp doesn't have white sand to boast, it's quite an isolated place which makes the resort stand out. Its light brown sand, sprinkled with different kinds of shells, is cleaned daily by the dedicated staff of the resort. Sadly, during my visit, a broken piece of glass buried in the sand gave one of my toes a deep cut but I know that it's just a rare case (no one needs to be fired) and nobody wanted that to happen. Our adventure today takes us about 400 kilometers northwest of Kilometer 0 in Manila. Vigan City , the capital of Ilocos Sur, was recently converted into a component city last January 21, 2001. Imagine yourself living during the Spanish Colonial days when the kalesa (horse-drawn carriages) rules the cobblestone streets and century-old houses, not buildings, conquered the landscape. Vigan City offers you the same colonial-era backdrop minus the people walking around with DSLRs and GoPros. Team Nicerio visits Vigan City Vigan City details Vigan City was earlier known as "Ciudad Fernandina" during the Spanish Era. However, the origin of the city's name is said to come from different sources. Some say it came from the Chinese word "Bee Gan" or beautiful shore. While others say that it came...

Our adventure today takes us to a mountain south of Metro Manila. Mt. Gulugod Baboy (other variations Mt. Gulugod-Baboy ) is located in Anilao, Mabini in the province of Batangas. Gulugod-baboy is a Filipino phrase that means "pig's spine." The mountain got its name from the contours of the peaks which resemble a pig's back as seen from Janao Bay. Mt. Gulugod Baboy Mt. Gulugod Baboy details Mt. Gulugod Baboy - Mabini, Batangas Mt. Gulugod Baboy , despite being called a mountain, may also be referred to as a hill. This is because of the fact that the distinction between a hill and a mountain remains subjective and unclear. (As you may know, the maximum height of a hill is still being contested.) Located in Barangay Sta. Mercedes (Patungan) in Maragondon , Cavite, Patungan Beach is one of the province's little-known beach destinations. Thankfully, with the completion of the Nasugbu - Ternate Highway and Kaybiang Tunnel , the barangay was finally connected to the province. However, there is still no direct public transportation system that serves the area coming from Manila. Found off the coast of Anilao in Mabini, in the province of Batangas, Sombrero Island is a small island that is slowly making a name for itself. Sombrero Island Sombrero Island details Sombrero Island got its name from the Filipino word sombrero which means hat. It is quite obvious that the island was named due to its unique shape, which according to locals, looks like a giant hat that sticks out from the sea. Sombrero Island - Mabini, Batangas Sombrero Island as seen from a distance To reach Sombrero Island , it will take you 15 to 20 minutes by boat from the resorts in Anilao. (travel time varies depending on how rough the waves are) We rented a boat to bring us to Sombrero Island . A gentlewoman is always needed in a group. The boat rental usually costs around P2,500. I highly recommend that you bring in your friends when visiting Sombrero Island . A bigger group means a lesser amount of money that you would have to shell out. Aside f...
Located on the outskirts of San Pablo City in the province of Laguna, Bato Springs is the perfect getaway near Manila on a hot summer day. Bato Springs Bato Springs Details Prior to my visit, I have only seen the sign of Bato Springs Resort every time we head to southern Luzon. I have never thought of googling it or asking about it because it always slips my mind. (promise) If not for my cousin's birthday, I would have missed the chance of visiting it FOREVER. (Ok, that's overacting on my part.) Welcome to Bato Springs Join the herd... ...or swim in small groups. Bato Springs is quite a popular tourist destination for locals in San Pablo City, Laguna. Our adventure today takes us about 483 km northwest of kilometer 0 in Manila. My blog today is quite special since I would talk about not one but three notable places in Ilocos Norte. Unlike in my previous blog Ilocos Sur Adventure: Vigan City where we came a bit unprepared by not contacting a guide firsthand. My wife and I decided that it would be wise to have a guide and a driver this time. Our guide and driver for the adventure is Kuya Roy. He was referred to us by our original contact (which you will meet on my upcoming posts). Kuya Roy is a very quiet man. The sad part here is he doesn't have his own phone, he shares his CP with his wife. Rest assured he could be trusted with all your gold and diamonds. Laoag City Arc Kuya Roy We aim to tour Laoag City and its neighboring cities and towns before pushing to Pagudpod in the afternoon. So from Laoag, we decided to go to the farthest place first then stop by whatever notable places we coul...
