Japan Diaries 4: Day 74

Day 74: January 14, 2022 Friday - Kyoto x Osaka Yesterday, while I was watching the news I saw that there was so much snow in Kyoto. Although I now live in Hokkaido where snow is a common occurrence during winter, I was still fascinated with how much snow there was in the ancient capital of Japan . I have been to Kyoto twice during the winter season but I was not able to witness this much snow. Since I'm now vacationing in Osaka, I have had the chance to see with my own eyes what the scenery and the ancient temples would look like if they were covered in snow.  Here's my breakfast for the day. That's why the first thing that I did after waking up was to check my phone to see if it was still snowing in Kyoto. I also sent a message to my friend Gil who lives in the city to get the first info. After confirming what I wanted to hear, I immediately changed clothes and packed my travel bag.  Mr. Toshi dropped me off at Kumatori Station I transferred to a train from Osaka Station

Kumatori Exchange Center Rengakan - Osaka

Kumatori Exchange Center Rengakan ( 熊取交流センター 煉瓦館 ) is a former cotton cloth factory turned public hall located at 1 Chome-10-1 Gomonnishi, Kumatoricho, Sennan City in Osaka Prefecture. Kumatori Exchange Center Rengakan Kumatori Exchange Center Rengakan Details Constructed sometime in 1928 (Showa 3). The red-brick building locally referred to as Rengakan was originally a building where fabric and textiles were produced from cotton. Please click on the links to read more about each article.  Day 70: January 10, 2022 Monday - A Trip to Wakayama Hey guys! Today, my Japanese family and I are heading to Wakayama Prefecture. Mr. Toshi's daughter Akiko and her friend Ms. Kumi will be joining us on this trip.  Wakayama City Manhole Cover We visited the following places in Wakayama: Kominka Cafe Restaurant Hatsuhana  at Iwade City Marina City  - Wakayama City Kominka Cafe Restaurant Hatsuhana with Mr. Toshi and family Wakayama Marina City - Porto Europa  AEON Mall Wakayama - Wakayama City Before going home, we drove to AEON Mall Wakayama to buy some groceries and omiyage. From there, we drove back to Tsubasagaoka in Sennan City, Osaka but before we did, we bid farewell to Ms. Akiko and her friend as they drive back to Suita City. You can read more about this trip 👉 <
