A Guide to Singapore Tourist Pass

Despite being a small country, Singapore has one of the best transportation systems in Southeast Asia. However, it is also one of the most expensive. Hence, that sometimes poses a challenge to those budget backpackers who target to visit multiple areas of the country in a short period of time.

A Guide to Singapore Tourist Pass

For those travelers who are planning to extensively use Singapore's train and bus system for 3 days or less, here's a wallet-friendly and worry-free trip for you... Avail of the Singapore Tourist Pass!

Singapore Tourist Pass

The pass allows you to visit all those terminals

The Singapore Tourist Pass is a special EZ-link card that offers unlimited rides on Singapore's trains and buses except for the Sentosa Express, RWS8, Fast Forward, Night Rider, Nite Owl buses, and buses to Johore.

One for me, one for my wife, and one for Ella

There are three types of passes that you can choose from depending on the number of days of your planned tours. These passes are as follows:

1-Day Pass which costs SGD 10 + SGD 10 rental deposit*
2-Day Pass which costs SGD 16 + SGD 10 rental deposit*
3-Day Pass which costs SGD 20 + SGD 10 rental deposit*

* The SGD 10 rental deposit is refundable if you return the card within 5 days after the day of purchase.

You can avail of these passes in these PLACES...

You can refund your rental deposit in these PLACES... (Be mindful of the opening time though)

Yey! Ella's still free!

Keep in mind though that children 4 years and below are free of bus and train fare. An EZ-card will still be given to your child once you avail of the Singapore Tourist Pass. It is valid for 5 years and does not need to be reloaded. It is also a perfect souvenir from your trip.

The Singapore Tourist Pass was very helpful to me and my wife during our 2017 Singapore - Malaysia tour. Since we have our 4-year-old daughter with us, having the pass means we can skip the ticketing booth lines, calculating and budgeting the available balance in the prepaid EZ-link card, and of course the hassle of bringing out money.

Ella enjoyed the double-decker bus. You would too...

It is best that you bring an ID lace with you so that you can safely store and easily access your Singapore Tourist Pass during your trips. Overall, I highly suggest that you avail the 3-day tourist pass if you are staying in SG for that duration of time. It is really perfect for a hassle-free adventure.
